What is Functional Health?
Functional Health is the evolution of conventional medicine that addresses the underlying causes of disease, not just the symptoms. Rather than looking at the body as a collection of independent organs divided up by medical specialties, Functional Health views the body as one integrated system and addresses the root causes of disease.
Is FH safe?
FH primarily utilizes diet and lifestyle to achieve health goals. We will also prescribe a whole-food based supplement regimen to fill in nutritional gaps that your body needs but can’t get from most foods we eat. FH is very safe and has far fewer side effects than most any prescription on the market.
What conditions respond well to FH?
Many of our patients have been diagnosed with conditions such as diabetes, autoimmunity, GI dysfunction, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and many others. While we do not “treat” their specific disease or condition, the symptoms that they experience often disappear as a result of fueling their body correctly.
How do I know if Dr. B can help me?
While Functional Health is highly beneficial for a very wide range of people and conditions, it may not be right for everyone. That is why we offer a free consultation to discuss your concerns and goals before making a financial commitment.
